Behaviour Support eLearning Program Launched!
DPV has launched the Positive Behaviour Support for Disability Professionals eLearning program. Developed with the Office of the Senior Practitioner, the program is available to the sector via the DPV eLearning Centre.
The program was launched by Lynne Webber, Practice Leader, at the DPV CEO’s Networking Breakfast on Wednesday, May 5, 2010. The purpose of Positive Behaviour Support for Disability Professionals is to provide Disability Professionals with the important skills and knowledge needed to design a behaviour support plan that works to increase quality of life and reduce restrictive interventions.

The module includes information about the restrictive interventions that must be reported in Victoria to the Senior Practitioner, and the important components of good planning.
Anyone in the sector can access the DPV eLearning Centre and register for the program. DPV members receive a discounted rate of $49.50 with the non-member cost being $55.00.
If your organisation is interested in providing this training for your teams, please contact Roxanne Addley, Executive Officer, DPV (ph: 03 8637 1238 or em: roxanne.addley@dpv.org.au) about the options for bulk registration and using the DPV eLearning Centre for your organisation.
